Build 0.2


This is the first update to the game since I finished the first version for a college project. The aim of this update was to clean up the animations, improve movement and fix collision issues.

Changelog:

Animations

  • The base idle pose has been changed to be less hunched over
  • Movement animations have had their end-lag removed, this makes movement much less clunky
  • Attacks now activate sooner and properly line up with the target
  • Ripostes are now much faster but don’t lunge as far
  • Various other aesthetic improvements

Gameplay

  • Movement values have been changed to sync with animations more accurately, this should make movement feel much less slidy
  • Collision has been made much more accurate
  • Players can no longer walk into each other to slide closer to the camera

Other

  • Sparks are emitted from the blades’ colliding point during a successful parry
